Surf Zone has been operating kitesurfing lessons since 2008. In Siquijor Island, we opened our branch in 2023, back when only a small handful of people were kitesurfing here. Today we run lessons, rentals, and also organise kite camps around the Philippines.

Where we kitesurf in Siquijor
Two sides.
Two seasons.
In Siquijor we ride two sides of the island with two different seasons: Calalinan for the northeast winds during Amihan Season; San Juan for the Southwest winds during Habagat Seasons. Light to medium wind most of the year, with stronger winds usually around July, August, January and February.

Rooted on the island
Among the first
on the water.
Our founder and head instructor has been teaching kitesurfing since 2008 and ran kiteschools in Taiwan and Estonia, and taught in Turks and Caicos, before bringing Surf Zone to Siquijor. When we opened here in 2023, you could count the kiters on the island on one hand.
We stuck around, built a small base, and helped put Siquijor kitesurfing on the map. Two talented young guys who hung around our sessions learned the sport from the founder himself. Today, they're part of our instructor team on Siquijor.
