Our spots

Two seasons,
two sides of the island.

In Siquijor the wind switches sides with the seasons. During the NE Amihan we ride at Calalinan, on the northern side of the island. During the SW Habagat we move to San Juan on the western side. Both spots are quiet, scenic and friendly for learning.

NE

Calalinan , Amihan side

Amihan · mid-Nov → mid-May

WindNE Amihan
WaterShallow flat , can get wavy on super windy days
LevelBeginner → Advanced

Where we set up during the northeast season. Mostly shallow and flat , perfect for first lessons and body-dragging practice. Our tent can be found inside Laranjo Cottages, and even on a good day you'll usually see no more than five kites in a three-kilometre bay.

An honest note on wind

Siquijor is a light to medium-wind island , beginner-friendly, not intimidating, and still plenty fun for intermediates. The strongest winds usually arrive around July, August, January and February. If you want bigger, more consistent wind, follow Surf Zone on Wheels , we post when we're heading to windier spots so you can plan a session if you're nearby.
